The Plan of Salvation

The Bible clearly indicates that the only way to be right with God, and subsequently make heaven your home, is to embrace the Truth of Jesus Christ and receive what He has done for you in His death, burial and resurrection from the dead.  Jesus said, "I am the Way, the Truth and the Life. No man comes to the Father but by me."For centuries people have tried to achieve salvation a number of ways. Even well meaning believers in God have imposed traditions of men and works as a means to obtain eternal life.  However, the scriptures state that we are not saved by our righteous works and acts, nor do we maintain our salvation by our own goodness. 

A provision has been made through the grace of God and by the blood of His one and only Son, Jesus, for all of us.  We are only required to turn from our own ways and receive the free gift of the Lord through Christ.We want to invite you to open your heart to Jesus today.  To do so is this simple...really!Talk to God like this (and remember He is okay with you talking to Him just as you would a friend...you don't have to use old English language or try to impress Him with your Bible knowledge, just talk to Him!):Lord God, I know I have really messed my life up and I need to change.  I cannot do it myself. 

I don't have the strength or ability.  You can take care of me.  You are able to save me from the sin and error that I have committed in my life.  Would you please come and forgive me of my sins?  I ask that you cleanse me by the blood of Jesus and come and live in me.  I thank you for saving my life and making me new!  Thank you Jesus!If you prayed this prayer and meant it in your heart, Jesus has come in to your life and we welcome you into the family of God.  We encourage you to find a Bible in a translation that you can easily understand, and read the book of John in the New Testament, and then the book of Romans. 

These two books will help you to begin your exciting new adventure.  (By the way, you are REALLY cleansed from all of your sins!  So stop worrying about them, they are covered!)Would you please consider writing an email letter to us at mail@worshipplace.org and letting us know of your decision for Christ?Now, the Lord wants you to hang out with people who are also loving Jesus and experiencing His grace.  Be sure that you attend a life giving fellowship that believes the Bible is the word of God and that the Holy Spirit is still working today!  Pray all the time (you know, simple prayers that are not intended to impress God, just talk with Him).  If you live in southwestern New York or northwestern PA, we invite you to come and visit us at Praise!
