1. The Bible
We believe that the Bible, as expressed in 66 books and in its original language, is God's word, and is infallible, inerrant and factual historically and is accurate. We believe that the Scriptures must be the rule for our development as Christians and the authoritative director of our walk in Christ.
2. God
We believe that God is Father, Son and Holy Spirit, a perfect tri-unity. As Father, He is creator and life-giver; As Son, He is revealed in the person of Jesus Christ, born of the virgin Mary, lived a perfect and sinless life, was crucified, died and buried, and subsequently raised from the grave bodily by the power of the Holy Spirit; As Holy Spirit, the Lord God empowers His Church for the successful promotion of the gospel of salvation through Jesus Christ the Lord.
3. Sin
All of us have sinned and fall short of God's glory. We, as human flesh were born into sin and need redemption from it. Sin separates us from God, keeps us from knowing His best in this life, and prevents us from having life eternal.
4. The Blood of Christ
The provision made for salvation for all who would call upon the Lord is the Blood of Christ, the very Son of God. His blood was shed upon the cross for the redemption of mankind. There is no salvation apart from the literal shed blood of the Lamb of God, Jesus.
5. The Power of God
The Lord promised that He would not leave us alone, following His resurrection and ascension to the Father. He has made a provision for all who believe upon Him to be filled with the Holy Spirit, and subsequently be empowered by gifts and callings with the multiple purposes to spread the gospel of Christ, equip the believer for works of service, and be an earthly demonstration of the power of God. We believe that this is present day reality and that the power and presence of the Holy Spirit is by the grace of God and will remain until such a time as Jesus Christ returns to rule and reign.
6. The Return of Christ
Jesus said that He would come back, so He will! In reality the return of the Messiah is an expected event spoken of throughout the scriptures. He will come again to rule and reign and to gather His own unto Himself.
7. The Church
God has chosen in this last day to bring His good news to the world through the imperfect modality of humans. Those who gather to worship, learn, and promote the gospel are called the Church. All who call upon the Name of Jesus Christ are a part of that Church. The Bible is clear that it is God's plan for all believers to be a part of a local gathering, be submitted to the leadership of that gathering, and become a productive and committed part of the life giving local gathering.
8. Baptisms
The Bible teaches that every believer is to be a baptized part of the Body of Christ. The Bible further reveals that there are a number of "baptisms" available to all believers, included water baptism - a public demonstration of our faith in Christ and identification with His death, burial and resurrection. Another is the baptism in the Holy Spirit (see #5). However, the most important perhaps, is that of being baptized into the Body of Christ, in other words, making a profession of Jesus personally and therefore coming into the Church.
9. The Call to Go to the World
Jesus clearly has called the Church to go into the world with the Gospel. The local fellowship is commissioned to minister in local areas of concern, as well as send workers into the world for the purpose of the harvesting of souls. We believe that this is a primary purpose for the Church, and therefore are committed to responding to this call.
10. Grace and the Law
John 1:17 states that the Law came through Moses, but through Jesus Christ came grace and truth. The purpose of the written code (law) was to draw all men to the realization of our need for God's mercy. Jesus, God's own son, and His promised Messiah, is God's Mercy! We believe that we are saved by grace through faith, and not by our own works. We further believe, however, that we have been saved by this grace in order to do good works, which the Father has determined for us to do. The result of our grace relationship with Jesus is the bearing of fruit fit for the Kingdom.
11. Worship
The Bible describes for us a lifestyle that each believer is created for. As we read the Word of God it becomes apparent that we were created to bring glory and honor to the Lord God. Worship is a lifestyle reflecting what God is doing in our lives, and our frail offering toward Him for His incredible goodness. We worship, because He is worthy of all our praise. We pray, because He wants to spend time with His creation. We sing, because we must. We dance, because He sings over us. We rejoice, because He rejoices over all of His creation.
